YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Legacy Engineering Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead our Transportation Design team. In this role, you will oversee the preparation and delivery of PS&E packages for a variety of transportation infrastructure projects. You will manage all aspects of the PS&E process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the preparation and review of comprehensive transportation PS&E projects for public and private clients which includes Roadway, Traffic Control Phasing, Retaining Walls, Drainage, Traffic Signals, Illumination, Signing & Pavement Markings, Traffic Management Systems, Storm Water Pollution Plan, Utilities, etc.
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, planners, and environmental specialists, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of PS&E documents.
· Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of PS&E packages.
· Ensure that all PS&E documents comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
· Oversee quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and detail in all PS&E documents.
· Collaborate with stakeholders, including public agencies, contractors, and utility companies, to address project requirements and resolve any issues that arise during the PS&E process.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members involved in the PS&E process.
· Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
· Manage the procurement and coordination of project-related materials, including cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents.
· Identify and mitigate risks associated with the PS&E process to ensure successful project outcomes.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS / CAPABILITIES / CREDENTIALS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
· 15 years of experience in transportation project management, with a focus on PS&E preparation.
· Experience managing various types of public projects (rural, urban, etc.) with various municipalities (TxDOT, County, City, etc.) is required.
· Technical experience in multiple transportation disciplines (e.g. Roadway, Traffic Control Phasing, Retaining Walls, Drainage, Traffic Signals, Illumination, etc.) is required.
· Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
· Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer or similar tools is preferred.
· Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
