Remote Position (OR/WA Only)
This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.
All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

Provide support in the training, implementation, and optimal utilization of Epic, integrated software and healthcare technologies by all end users. Primary focus is to educate and support end users in utilizing the systems for all components of documentation and healthcare technologies. Responsible to collaborate with the Principal Trainers in the on-going training of end users. This position provides support and coordination of end user training, including conducting classroom-training sessions, developing educational strategies and creating learning support materials.
User Support and Training
- In collaboration with the Principle Trainers, leads and/or assists in the development, coordination and implementation of end user training.
- Conducts classroom training for clinicians on Epic, including all clinical applications and additional healthcare technologies.
- Supports clinicians & end users during implementation of new up-grades/modules/functionality which may include one-to-one support to facilitate and promote adoption of all documentation components, healthcare technologies and equipment at unit/department level.
- Accountable for optimizing end users adaptation and utilization of documentation within Epic.
- Collects feedback and facilitates communication to and from IS and clinical users.
- Develops educational/training materials and utilization aides.
- Collaborates with end users at department level to maximize understand and proficiency of end user work.
Epic Workflow & Design
- Problem-solves application issues and works through barriers to achieve results by collaborating effectively with end users and the IS project team.
- Identifies issues in system design, operational workflow, system implementation, and support.
- Participates on multidisciplinary groups to identify issues and facilitate problem solving.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Informatics degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years healthcare care experience required. Prior experience with electronic medical records systems training preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use electronic medical record for documentation of patient care delivery.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer system software components, (e.g. MS Office,
Demonstrated ability to adopt and train new healthcare technologies.
Windows operating system, file structures, network components, database and server concepts).
Fundamental understanding of patient workflow and workflow of care provider.
Fundamental understanding of policies and procedures.
Demonstrated group presentation skills.
Understands and applies adult learning principles.
Proven advanced communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization.
Demonstrated leadership in change management.
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and abilities.
