What are the responsibilities and job description for the Authorizations Coordinator position at Legacy Home Health Agency?
We are seeking motivated individuals to coordinate prior approval and managed care processes for patient/client services for the in-home provider care program (also known as PAS or PHC services) at Legacy Home Health Agency, Inc.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide the coordination of services for managed care obligations
- Coordinate the authorization process to ensure completion of prior approvals to appropriate payor entities
- Process requests for prior authorization of PAS or PHC services
- Perform necessary follow-up actions to obtain current authorizations for clients/patients receiving services
- Process client/patient information and authorization data in agency database
- Communicate with state caseworkers and insurances to coordinate service authorizations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Customer service experience required.
- Work experience in PAS/PHC Coordination or in a healthcare related field preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
Schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; Occasional after hours or weekends necessary.
