POSITION SUMMARY:
The manufacturing associate will work on a production line as part of a team to manufacture metal siding and trim. This role involves operating machinery and ensuring that equipment is running smoothly. The manufacturing associate is responsible for monitoring production processes and limiting production defects while keeping work areas clean and organized.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Efficiently change coils as needed with limited production disruption
- Perform quality checks to spot defects during production
- Operate trim break to produce stock and custom ordered trim
- Data entry of all jobs performed on roll former and trim break
- Wrapping/banding and labeling metal/trim packs
- Operate forklift as needed
- Daily stock counts to ensure fulfillment and reporting any shortages to supervisor
- Assess work orders to address any production priorities
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on assigned equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure a safe work environment by addressing any hazards and reporting as needed
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and use tape measure, calipers, etc
- Ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Agile and adaptable to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills.
Legacy Metals LLC offers competitive wages contingent upon experience, education, and skills. Starting rate for this role is $16.00/hr.
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday from 7 am to 5 pm.
