Position: Patient Care Coordinator
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our optometry team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients, from scheduling appointments to managing medical records and providing excellent customer service. This part-time role is an essential part of patient success.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
· Schedule and confirm appointments, both in person and over the phone.
· Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
· Coordinate patient flow, minimizing wait times and optimizing appointment schedules.
· Assist with insurance verification and processing of claims.
· Handle inquiries and provide information about our services and procedures.
· Support the optometry team with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
· Previous experience in a medical or optometry office preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and scheduling software.
