Job Summary:
Evansville Lofts, a unique community of six historic and beautifully restored buildings in Downtown Evansville, is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure the highest standards of property upkeep and resident satisfaction.
This is a single-person, in-house maintenance role responsible for handling all routine maintenance, repairs, and emergencies. Outside vendors may only be used for extreme situations. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience in vintage buildings and a strong understanding of historic property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues promptly to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the buildings, common areas, and grounds.
- Ensure all units are properly turned and ready for new residents in a timely manner.
Emergency & On-Call Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary maintenance contact for the property, handling all work orders and emergency maintenance needs.
- Be on-call for after-hours emergencies (rotational support may be considered in the future).
Vendor & Compliance Oversight:
- Coordinate with vendors only for extreme situations requiring specialized services.
- Ensure compliance with property regulations, safety protocols, and historic preservation standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inventory, and documentation of repairs.
Qualifications:
- EPA Certification (Required).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily housing or vintage/historic buildings.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with historic building materials, preservation techniques, and restoration best practices.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- High level of professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
