Description
Control special processes, , address the need for special controls, processes, test equipment, tools and skills to attain the required level of quality
Final inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators, tools etc.
Conduct and document quality inspections of in process and finished goods to ensure quality conforms to specified requirements using measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
Adept at using inspection & test equipment, calipers, tensile testers, optical microscopes, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.
Report all unusual conditions or results, unsafe conditions, broken or out of calibration equipment, procedures not in effect to Company rep.
Support Quality Engineer by monitoring execution based on the procedures in the quality manual.
Performs visual and mechanical inspections.
Or electronic knowledge, on electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical parts or materials
Review & interpret customer requirements
Perform step by step first article and start-up, in-process and final inspections prior to in service production.
Qualifications
Quality Inspector Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience in pipeline installation
Licensing or Certifications for Quality Inspector
List any licenses or certifications required by the position: OSHA 10, CPWI, NACE Level 1, API 1169, API 510 or 3 years of utility inspection experience.
Education for Quality Inspector
Minimum of High school diploma or GED.

Coordinate inspection activities in compliance with computer tracking maintenance programs
Ensure all work packages (orders and forms) records of arrival, maintenance and corrective actions performed, are documented accurately.
Understands and complies with industry workmanship standards such as crimping, torque, welding, and fusion.
