Legacy Sports International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Manage HR documentation, including offer letters, and employee handbooks.
- Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and escalate issues when necessary.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. Assist with addressing and resolving payroll discrepancies as needed.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
- Employee Relations: Support the team in handling employee relations issues, such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Training and Development: Assist in organizing and coordinating training sessions and workshops for employees. Track employee participation and feedback to improve future programs.
- Other Duties: Perform other HR-related tasks and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years Human Resources experience.
- Understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Organization and ability to multi-task.
- SHRM, NAE or any HR certification, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to work well with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong organization/time management skills, with an ability to cope with a fluctuating workload are required.
- Strong analytical and judgment skills are required
- Ability to adapt quickly to new and varied job tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Incredible attention to detail, to ensure accurate use of internal systems and processing of information.
- Strong interpersonal skills (verbal communication and presentation skills).
- Ability to work in a teaming arrangement with shared goals.
- Understanding of Distributor/Big Box/Buy Groups buying process and sales cycles is preferred.
- Ability to execute web-based programs.
- Strong Relationship Building skills.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, sit for long periods of time, and bend or stand as necessary.
