Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather necessary pricing information.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying blueprints and technical documents.
Develop detailed cost breakdowns and prepare competitive bid proposals.
Monitor and adjust estimates based on project scope changes and unforeseen factors.
Maintain records of estimated and actual costs for future reference and improvement.
Work with procurement teams to obtain competitive supplier quotes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all cost estimations.
Assist in risk assessment and provide recommendations to optimize cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry regulations and cost trends.
