Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine material specifications.
Measure, cut, and fit metal components using hand and power tools.
Operate welding and fabrication equipment to assemble and join metal parts.
Inspect fabricated components for accuracy and quality control.
Perform grinding, drilling, and finishing tasks to ensure smooth edges and proper fit.
Maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Work collaboratively with team members to optimize fabrication processes.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fabrication equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or fabrication preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in metal fitting and fabrication.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
