Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut and shape metal parts according to blueprints and job orders.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and CAD files to determine cutting parameters.
- Select and load appropriate metal materials , including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel .
- Adjust machine settings, speeds, and laser focus to optimize cut quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure precision and adherence to tolerances.
- Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with fabricators, welders, and engineers to optimize production workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety procedures and company guidelines .
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Laser Operator in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting machines , such as Bystronic, Amada, Mazak, or Trumpf .
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders .
- Experience working with various metal materials and understanding their cutting properties.
- Basic knowledge of machine programming and nesting software (a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and quality control.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced production environment .
