Key Responsibilities :
Preventive Maintenance : Perform unplanned and planned (preventive and predictive) maintenance on production and facility equipment, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record work completed.
Equipment Repair : Diagnose and repair basic to moderately complex electrical systems, mechanical components, pneumatic components, and controls to restore equipment to proper, safe, and optimal working conditions.
Project Support : Assist in small electrical and / or mechanical projects as directed by the Team Lead or Supervisor, including installation, setup, modification, and relocation of equipment to meet production requirements.
Technical Proficiency : Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics / diagrams, as well as basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Test low voltage electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
Safety Compliance : Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including Lock Out / Tag Out practices. Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety within the facility.
Team Collaboration : Be an effective team player and work well with all other departments. Adhere to work orders and utilize the CMMS system for data entry.
Housekeeping : Maintain an organized workplace that complies with housekeeping requirements.
Qualifications :
Experience : 4-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or 2 years with a recognized trade certification.
Technical Skills : Ability to read wiring diagrams, electrical / mechanical / pneumatic / hydraulic schematics, and ladder / function block logic. Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (e.g., Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat) and electric circuitry consisting of contactors, relays, main voltage / control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
Availability : Willingness to work rotating shifts, overnights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.
