Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling: Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials and finished products within the shop.
• Equipment Operation: Support the operation of shop machinery such as shears, plasma tables, and press brakes under supervision.
• Workspace Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, including waste disposal and recycling.
• Tool Preparation: Prepare and organize tools and equipment needed for fabrication tasks.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
• Assistance to Fabricators: Provide support to welders and fabricators by holding materials, measuring parts, and performing other tasks as directed.
• Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall shop operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in a metalworking or fabrication shop is preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of shop tools and machinery; willingness to learn and operate equipment safely.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members.
