POSITION SUMMARY Provides outstanding guest service to all who come to the Front Desk, creates a memorable vacation experience. Essential Functions: • Timely and accurate check-in/check-out guests • Provide courteous, professional guest service and resolution of all guest inquires • Understand and practice all of Legacy Vacation Resorts Front Office Standards Manual and effectively perform, “The Six Principles” of the front office • Provides information on resort, amenities, activities, local area attractions, events and directions, etc. • Answers all incoming calls following the phone etiquette on the Front Office Standards Manual • Learn resort software and be able to post transactions in RCC as necessary • Accurately complete all Front Office reports and documentation required i.e. MOD report, welcome calls • Complete cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently • Communicates accurately information of room moves, status in the systems and to departments affected • Constant communication with the Housekeeping department for room status updates • Reconciliation of the assigned cash bank during shift • Responsible for upkeep of all areas in the front lobby accessible or viewed by guests i.e. refreshment area, collateral • Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed POSITION QUALIFICATIONS • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions • Active Listening - Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others • Adaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace • Ambition - The drive to achieve personal advancement • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word. • Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely • Conflict Resolution - Ability to deal with others in an antagonistic situation • Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures • Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures • Diversity Oriented - Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type • Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards • Honesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace • Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information • Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task • Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems • Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety • Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within a given shift to complete tasks regardless of frequent interruptions • Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Experience: Previous customer service or hospitality experience Computer Skills: Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Other Requirements: Must have a flexible schedule as schedules are determined based on the needs of the business.
