Summary: The Breakfast attendant is responsible for servicing guests according to brand standards; providing the highest quality service to guests and team members, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation while also maintaining control over food and beverage inventories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor as needed.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition to effectively communicate with guests, team members and community.
- Be familiar with and adhere to Legacy Ventures Service standards as outlined in the Blueprint, brand standards and other policies / rules of conduct, to include personal appearance / grooming, proper uniform (including name tag), attendance as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel, and safe / efficient operations.
- Promptly serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure proper and timely completion of all breakfast according to checklist and standard operating procedures.
- Understand and follow brand and other standard steps of service and other guidelines to ensure customers are attended to properly and all food and beverage items comply with quality and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all food and beverages served meet brand standards and in a safe and sanitary fashion. All foods and beverages must be attractively presented and adequate quantities maintained for guest satisfaction.
- Communicate shift activities, issues or concerns to Operations Manager or supervising MOD daily, including completion of daily checklist.
- Be certified, and comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Food Handlers, Safety, etc.
- Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure that the work area and front of house areas are kept clean and tidy. This includes prompt cleanup and stocking in the guest breakfast and dining areas.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
