SUMMARY: Assure cleanliness of guest’s windshield and parking lot in order to maintain the hotel’s high standards of quality and service. Assists the Engineering department with installations and repairs of machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems in hotel and restaurant by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by a manager or supervisor as needed.
- Cleaning and removing spots from Windshields.
- Sweeping, and/or pressure washing parking lot and hotel exterior.
- Maintaining the parking lot free of debris and trash.
- Flipping mattresses and moving furniture as assigned by supervisor.
- Ensuring adherence to local, state and federal compliance of OHSA regulations
- Ensuring completion of work orders
- Inventory control of property operations related tools and supplies.
- Maintaining hotel aesthetics (painting, furniture maintenance, etc.)
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Repairing counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program within the rooms to insure they are being kept up to standards on a quarterly basis and the proper documentation is being recorded.
- Proper uniform, and name tag worn at all times.
- Guests’ name will be used at all times upon entering an occupied room.
- When approached by a guest with a problem, associate will have the knowledge to be empowered to assist the guest in resolving the problem.
- Keep a daily maintenance log of all work performed on all areas of the hotel/motel.
- Proper uniform, and name tag worn at all times.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- Associate will empower himself to accept any customer problem brought to their attention as their problem and do everything in their power to get the problem resolved.
- Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive, professional and accommodating manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school education; or three to six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
