As an Immigration Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance on immigration matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Reporting to the Managing Partner, your core skills in legal research, drafting, and utilizing platforms like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw will be essential. Your premium expertise in immigration law, negotiation, and family law will enable you to effectively advocate for clients. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support immigration cases.
- Draft and file legal documents, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on immigration matters, including visas and residency applications.
- Negotiate with government agencies on behalf of clients to resolve immigration issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the law office for all cases handled.
- Collaborate with legal staff to streamline processes and improve client services.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Strong writing and legal drafting skills
- Experience in immigration law and related legal fields
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Prior legal administrative experience is a plus
