The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic chance to shape and advance the external communications strategy for the firm’s Finance department in the U.S., while also acting as a global champion for the Financial Institutions sector. The role will play a critical part in enhancing the firm’s market presence, managing media relations, and reinforcing its brand image as a leader in the legal industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to strengthen the firm’s reputation and market positioning.
- Media Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with U.S. media contacts, manage press outreach, and act as a gatekeeper to ensure strategic engagement.
- Content Creation: Craft high-quality press releases, media statements, thought leadership pieces, and digital content that reflect the firm’s brand voice.
- Campaign Management: Lead external communications campaigns from concept through execution, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maximize impact.
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain a consistent and compelling brand image across all communication channels.
- Performance Tracking: Measure the effectiveness of communications initiatives, reporting insights to leadership to inform strategy.
About You:
- Experience: 5 years in external communications, media relations, or public relations within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Skill Set: Exceptional writing and editing skills, strong media network, strategic mindset, and the ability to manage high-stakes communications.
- Collaboration: A natural relationship builder, capable of engaging effectively with partners, journalists, and senior stakeholders.
- Proactivity: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects with a solutions-focused approach.
