What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant I position at Legal Services of North Florida?
Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a full-time (35 hours/ week) Accountany I in the Tallahassee office. Come work with great people who do hard work to better the lives of low-income and vulnerable individuals in our communities. Work for a non-profit law firm, with 130 employees in seven offices across North Florida, that seeks legal justice while understanding the value of work-life balance. Our work is supported by grant funding and allows us to handle about 9,000 civil legal cases in a year for low income and marginalized people and families.
You will join a growing organization with an expanding fiscal team building to handle additional funding requirements. Work independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and continuous fiscal operations and grant invoicing which allows us to serve the most vulnerable members of our community. Qualified applicants must have a high-level of comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite and use of office technology to function as part of both a local and virtual team. Applicants should should have proven experience with invoicing and bank account reconciliations, general ledger entry, or bookkeeping. Requires two years of work experience or an Associate Degree or a Bachelors Degree in accounting or business administration. Ability to work independently and in a team environment is desired. Experience with Excel is required and a skills test will be part of the interview process. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and use clear of effective communication is needed.
This position is designed as an in person, office position located in Tallahassee, FL.
Entry level salary of $36,000 for candidates with the minimum qualifications. Final salary offers will be based on candidates experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes:
- A four day (35 hour) work week
