Overview
As a Sr. SEM Analyst at LegalZoom, you will take ownership of paid search campaigns across major search engines including Google and Bing to drive customer acquisition. We are seeking a proactive individual contributor, with a strong sense of ownership to own the management and optimization of SEM campaigns that meet business objectives and maximize ROI. This role requires a deep understanding of performance marketing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will collaborate closely with product, product marketing, creative, and data science teams to ensure alignment on goals and leverage collective insights to enhance campaign performance. A strong analytical mindset and comfort with experimentation design will be key as you drive innovation in paid search, testing new approaches, and scaling successful tactics to drive sustained business growth.
You will
- Oversee and execute paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and emerging search platforms. PMax experience is a plus.
- Monitor and analyze campaign data to identify key trends and insights that fuel data-driven optimizations and guide cross-functional learnings.
- Manage campaign budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of spend to meet traffic, acquisition, and revenue goals. You must be comfortable with budget pacing and forecasting.
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience research to inform campaign strategy and targeting.
- Prioritize and execute continuous hypothesis-driven experimentation across various categories to optimize ad copy, targeting strategies, bidding techniques, and landing pages.
- Competitor research to benchmark campaigns and adjust strategies for conquesting, ensuring a competitive edge in the search landscape.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product marketing, creative, and data science to ensure alignment across all SEM efforts and contribute to project plans and briefs, ensuring consistency with overarching marketing objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes to search engine algorithms to ensure campaign strategy is aligned with best practices and recommendations.
You have
- Bachelor’s degree, with preference for marketing, analytics, statistics, or a related major
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns.
- Recent hands-on-keys experience with Google and Bing Ads is required as you will be required to directly execute campaign launches and optimizations. Google and Bing certifications are a plus.
- Experience with experimentation design, landing page optimization, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and A/B testing.
- Proficiency in structured analysis and Excel
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present data and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing SEM for SMB and/or consumer-focused brands, particularly in the legal or services industry, is a plus.
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is $84,400 to $109,400. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
