Job Overview
We are seeking a person with experience in polarized light microscope work analyzing building materials for asbestos. A person trained in geology or petrography with no direct experience in asbestos bulk analysis but familiarity with the microscope is also welcome to apply.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze bulk materials samples for asbestos on an as needed basis. Job is part time with a schedule that can vary depending on work load or full time depending on the candidate's employment wishes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to perform PLM analysis or have a technical background in geology or petrography.
If working full time, medical and dental benefits are available. If working part time, paid time off is pro-rated based on hours worked but no medical/dental benefits.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
