Job Description : This is a full-time position where the main priority is to purchase goods and products according to departmental and organizational need, policies, and procedures. The person will be responsible for receiving, storing, putting away products. Some administrative and clerical duties will be assigned as needed. This person will need to have the ability to move at a fast pace, complete tasks efficiently, and have high attention to detail.
Hours : Monday – Friday; 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm; subject to change based on needs / duties
Primary Responsibilities :
- Requisitions goods according to the company’s policies and procedures
- Organizes any goods that are received and updates necessary software and / or physical space for the products
- Utilizes necessary software to receive all purchase orders and ensure proper pricing charged by vendor
- Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions
- Provides insights on vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history
- Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels
- Assists in procuring necessary inventory for the service professionals or for a service department
- Works with other departments to maintain logistical efficiency
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
- Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits
- Operates forklift truck when necessary
- Performs other related duties as requested
