Job Title: Banquet Server
Reports To: Banquet Manager
Summary: The Banquet Server efficiently assists with food and beverage service, guest attention, and overall logistics of banquet events, by way of set-up, clear communications, and teamwork all while maintaining the company’s standard of excellence.
Compensation: $9.98/hour plus gratuities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of all banquet areas in use.
- Relay food and beverage orders where applicable.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the back-of-house personnel.
- Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
- Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED; Degree in Hospitality or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training in the hospitality field
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
Knowledge
- Multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills are critical.
- Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate professionally the creative ideas and services offered.
- Uphold the highest level of customer service during events and through all forms of banquet service including buffets, plated carving stations, bartending, running food, replenishing products, and supplies in accordance with event standards.
- Ability to handle multiple guests and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines.
- Always follow health and safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
- Good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work long hours and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Other Qualifications
Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
