Destin Pointe Resort is located at the point of the prestigious Holiday Isle between the Gulf of Mexico and the Destin Harbor. Its gated neighborhood setting, and lengthy list of guest amenities make Destin Pointe one of the most popular condominium resorts in Northwest Florida. The on-site Guest Services Center is available for check-in assistance, maintenance issues, and recommendations for dining and entertainment. Two swimming pools, a hot tub, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, 24-hour fitness area and yoga studio, and community shuffleboard provide plenty of activities for families and couples visiting Destin Pointe Resort. A picnic pavilion and community grills are also available to all guests.

Job Title:  Laundry & Amenity Inventory Coordinator, Destin Pointe

Reports To:  General Manager, Destin Pointe

Summary:  Attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to excellence is a must for this most important role! The Laundry & Amenity Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the sorting of laundry amenity items and preparation of bags to be used for rental unit preparation. This role will ensure proper amount and use of supplies, communicating continuously with the Homecare Specialist and management on par levels and/or additional inventory needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Responsible for the daily operations of the laundry center.
  2. Sort dirty linen/terry items for laundry pick-up.
  3. Will receive and sort clean linens, terry, and other laundry items by size/bed and unit type.
  4. Prepare linens and amenity bags each day and have them ready for departure cleans.
  5. Pack sheet sets for sleeper sofas, king, queen, and twin beds.
  6. Maintain inventory for laundry/cleaning/amenity supplies, keeping linen and amenity closet/storage area stocked, organized and clean always.
  7. Determine issues with housekeeping efforts and provide staff members with feedback regarding quality management.
  8. Ensure cleaning supplies are returned from the cleaners daily and refill them for use the following day.
  9. Coordinate the return of lost and found items with office staff.
  10. Run miscellaneous linen/amenity items to cleaners or inspectors as needed.
  11. Answer and assist guests with general questions as needed.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 2 years’ experience as housekeeper or housekeeping inspector required

Knowledge 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Highly responsive and reliable
  • Must be able to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and operational demands with a high degree of efficiency and professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines
  • Must have reliable smartphone and can utilize required phone APP systems to communicate images and messages
  • Ability to follow company standards and property checklists
  • Excellent computer and writing skills

Other Qualifications 

Availability Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. 

License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.

Rules and Regulations All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy. 

Language Skills Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of visitors. 

Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly walk, pushing a linen/supply cart regularly upon occasion; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee will stand; walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to lift to 40 pounds regularly. Assistance and reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with or without disabilities are able to perform the essential functions. 

Work Environment The physical environment requires the employee to work mostly inside in climate-controlled conditions.
