Job Title: Kitchen Steward
Reports To: Director of Catering
Hours & Compensation: Overnight shift - 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. ~ $19.00/hour
Overview: The Emerald Grande offers premier indoor and outdoor dining and banquet venues located on the Destin Harbor overlooking Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico, Choctawhatchee Bay, and East Pass.
Summary: The Kitchen Steward is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas to include floors and all general surfaces, equipment, utensils, and dishes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role must uphold the highest standards, guaranteeing daily, detailed deep cleaning. **This is an overnight position, hours 10 p.m.- 6 a.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Washing dishes, cutlery, and glassware.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and floors.
- Cleaning of grills and flat tops.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Disposing of trash and waste properly.
- Inventory and Stock Management:
- Assisting with restocking kitchen supplies and utensils.
- Checking inventory levels and notifying supervisors when items are low.
- Other Duties:
- Following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience as Kitchen Steward working in high volume food and beverage operation
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
Knowledge
- Consistency in the level of detailed, thorough cleaning
- Organization and time management skills needed
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 5-50 pounds several times a day, asking for assistance as needed
- Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on both low and high shelves
- Ability to work in a hot and damp environment

Other Qualifications
Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available on workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
