Safety Coordinator
The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees at Legends Home. This individual will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to promote safety awareness, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Attendance and punctuality are crucial components of this position. The successful candidate must consistently arrive on time and maintain regular attendance.

Roles and Responsibilities :
- Safety Program Development
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess risks in the workplace.Training and EducationCoordinate and facilitate safety training sessions for employees, supervisors, and managers on topics such as hazard recognition, ergonomics, and emergency response.
Provide ongoing education and resources to promote a safety-conscious culture throughout the organization.Incident Investigation and Reporting :Investigate accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and safety-related data for reporting and analysis purposes.Conduct bi-weekly safety inspections / audits.Track / log all inspections, trainings, incidents, worker’s comp claims, etc.Regulatory ComplianceStay up to date on relevant safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements through regular audits and inspections.Safety CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries, concerns, and feedback from employees.Communicate safety policies, procedures, and updates to employees through various channels.Emergency PreparednessDevelop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and crisis management strategies.Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency plans and procedures.Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in safety coordination or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.Must be First Aid, CPR, and OSHA30 certifiedAbility to lift at least 50lbsMust be fluent in Spanish!Local candidates only!Benefits Offered :
