Sherman Concrete is seeking a qualified Batch Plant Lead Person . This position will support locations in the Leeds, AL and Trussville, AL areas.

What you’ll get to do:

• Batch concrete according to order and product specifications; Make sure correct material and weight is loaded in the truck
• Conduct safety meetings and participate as a member of the safety committee
• Maintain raw materials inventory and other necessary supplies
• Ensure environmental regulations compliance
• Review driver safety inspection forms daily
• Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers
• Perform minor repairs on plant equipment as needed
• Float to various plant locations depending on business needs
• Back-up RMC Truck Driver when needed
• Other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ACI Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment)
• Current Class B CDL with no suspensions, failure to appear, etc.
• Minimum of two years directly related experience.
• Ability to work extended hours and varying shifts
• Valid medical card.
• Frequently lift 10 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended time, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing and balancing.
