Description
Major Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and package into Airline galley carts as per the Cart Diagrams provided by the airline: (a) Beverages, (b) Shelf stable items (i.e., snack packs, pretzels, candy, etc.), (c) Dry stock (i.e., cups, napkins, etc.), (d) Promotional products, (e) Other items as specified.
- Prepare an accurate inventory of the following items for all arriving and departing aircraft using documentation procedures. (a) Beverages, (b) Shelf stable items (i.e., Snack packs, pretzels, candy, etc.), (c) Dry stock (i.e., Cups, napkins, etc.), (d) Promotional products (e), Other items as specified.
- Assist with weekly inventory and report critical stock items to the airline.
- Deliveries: accept/escort drivers. Scan/email invoices to the airline. Unpack pallets and rotate stock according to expiration dates.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized commissary area.
- Professionally communicate over a two-way radio, cheerfully handle telephone calls.
- Adhere to all Airline, TSA & FAA regulations as well as Authority policies, procedures, and best practices while upholding safety, security, and service.
- Motivated, reliable, flexible, collaborative, and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and make good judgement decisions in a changing environment.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers to ensure effective airline operations, able to work as part of a positive team player.
- Additional duties as assigned; may include aircraft cleaning.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Must be able to obtain & maintain a valid drivers license.
- Successfully pass new hire & random drug screenings.
- Pass FAA/TSA Security clearance background check.
- Successfully pass all Airline & Airport required training.
- Basic PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other applicable computer programs.
- Must possess good English language skills, including speaking and writing.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays when required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects, or controls.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sufficient auditory ability and able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 150 decibels requiring mandatory hearing protection.
- Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and able to move within work area.
