What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Lehigh Valley Children's Centers?
Job Summary
The Assistant Controller’s responsibilities will include assisting with the monthly financial statements, custom reports, audits, budget preparation, general ledger account audits ,journal entries, grants, and other projects requested by the CFO. Other duties include maintaining cash and investment accounts, fixed assets/depreciation schedules, bank reconciliations, and will be the backup on various accounting functions of the Controller of Services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting and management experience needed.
- Nonprofit and Mas90 software experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Pro.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledgeable in compliance with practices and procedures of GAAP.
- A multi-tasker with strong analytical and problem solving abilities with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Accuracy driven and the ability to prioritize
- Experience and knowledge in all areas of an accounting/fiscal department required.
