JOB SUMMARY:
- The position will support the organization’s mission by connecting our communities with high quality, standards-based PBS resources.
- PBS39 education engages families and schools throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond working to increase literacy, math and early science through multigenerational learning opportunities and early childhood professional development for educators.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for PBS educational assets and programs, both within the station and in the community, while developing strong professional relationships with established education and community partners.
- Develop, promote, and implement learning resources, including presentations, tailored to educators and community partners. Leverage PBSLM, PBS, and PBS KIDS resources to support early childhood education initiatives.
- Partner with the Education Team to create and administer surveys to assess and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Collaborate effectively within the Education Team and across departments to achieve program objectives and deliverables in a timely manner.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and ensure best practices.
- Support team collaboration to meet project deadlines and fulfill program deliverables.
- All other duties as assigned.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Increase teacher engagement opportunities with PBS and PBS LearningMedia resources.
- Increase the PBS39 created educational resources posted to PBS Learning Media.
- Drive continuous program improvement by collecting and analyzing feedback on program effectiveness through survey metrics.

- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, community health, or a related field.

OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- May be asked to work longer hours and occasional weekends with short notice.
- As you will/may be driving a company vehicle or your own vehicle for company business, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record as determined by a driver’s license background check is required for this position.
- All team members must successfully pass a background check (7 years), FBI fingerprint clearance and PA child clearance.
