What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Line Associate position at Lehrkind's Coca- Cola?
The Production Line Associate plays a crucial role in the operational success of Lehrkind’s Coca-Cola/Big Spring Water production facilities. This moderately active position will be responsible for ensuring that bottles of water, seltzer, alcohol, and general non-alcoholic beverages are filled appropriately and continue down the production line in an efficient and safe manner. Additionally, this role is responsible with fulfilling orders for direct shipment. Our production line does ebb and flow, so this role will also work as a Warehouse Team Member when the lag in production occurs.
Major responsibilities:
- Lead in the daily task of ensuring all bottles are filled appropriately and that the overall production line continues to flow.
- Operate a case-packer, labeler, and keep records of production material.
- Flexible schedule to meet production deadlines, often resulting in overtime
- Daily cleaning includes plastic removal, sweeping, wiping down surfaces, stacking empty pallets, general warehouse upkeep, and stacking empty kegs in the back of the warehouse.
- While minimal, all broken/weakened product is sorted out of the line immediately.
- Comfortable using pallet jacks and willing to become forklift certified.
- Flexibility to be work tasks in other departments. (Warehousing, etc)
- Prep and restock supplies to be ready for the days run.
- Receive various orders placed for private sale: safely package, label, and ship products each day.
Position requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong eyesight and keen finger dexterity
- Great organization skills and ability to listen, follow, and carry out directions set forth.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and effectively solve on-site problems while under potentially stressful situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- All production team members must wear closed toe shoes and act accordingly to Lehrkind’s Company handbook.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and subsequent random quarterly drug screenings.
- Must be able to stand/sit for up to 10 hours a day (as needed).
- This position is moderately active on the Production line and very active when working as a Warehouse Team Member. It requires regular walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing stairs. You will frequently lift an assortment of products ranging from 10lbs – 50lbs and occasionally manipulate fully filled, 165lb kegs.
Starting Wage: $20/hr
