Elementary Teacher - Grade 4 Long Term Substitute

The District is seeking a certified (Massachusetts) classroom teacher for the Leicester Elementary School, which serves grades 4. The successful candidate will be an educator knowledgeable about effective, standards-based practices for elementary classrooms. *Long Term Substitute 2025 Teach and instruct Grade 4 students: • Develop lesson plans aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks. • Teach using various methodologies, including whole group, small group, and hands-on experiences. • Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of pupils from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity. • Provide group and individual instruction to motivate pupils and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities. • Administer, score, record and report the results of assessments that evaluate student growth and progress. • Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress. • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school improvement efforts.
