What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Mathematics Teacher Long-Term Sub position at Leicester High School?
Teach and instruct high school students in mathematics.
•Develop lesson plans aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks.
•Teach using various methodologies, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and laboratory experiences.
•Plan, develop, and utilize various instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of pupils from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds with a range of mental and emotional maturity.
•Provide group and individual instruction to motivate pupils and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
•Administer, score, record, and report the results of assessments that evaluate student growth and progress.
•Counsel, confer, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress.
•Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school improvement efforts.
The District seeks a long-term substitute high school mathematics teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The candidate shall hold all certifications required to teach mathematics in Massachusetts for students in grades 9-12.
