Leidos is seeking a skilled Microsoft SQL Server Administrator to join our team supporting the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) . In this role, you will manage and optimize enterprise databases, ensuring system reliability, security, and peak performance. You will also support database lifecycle activities, implement performance enhancements, and collaborate in an Agile environment to meet customer goals.
The work location is in Bethesda at the Intelligence Community Campus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform database lifecycle activities, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies, index maintenance, and database performance optimization.
- Monitor database health using tools like SQL Server Management Studio, ensuring CPU, memory, and disk usage remain within thresholds.
- Enhance database configurations to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Manage access controls, audit logs, and user accounts to uphold database security and integrity.
- Produce documentation, SOPs, reports, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Troubleshoot database issues in a high-security environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, communicating effectively across diverse teams.

Pay Range : Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
