The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is looking for an Electronics Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group located in Des Plaines, IL.
As an ideal candidate, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) Program. This program is designed to deliver over 30,000 communication services to more than 4,500 facilities within the National Airspace System and aims to develop a modern, dynamic, and secure enterprise network that supports the agency's mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Assess existing site surveys to create a comprehensive scope of work for site preparation requirements.
- Conduct site surveys at remote locations to gather data for FENS site preparation.
- Create detailed site preparation plans based on survey reports and facility records, including :
- Identifying necessary FENS contract CLINs for site preparation.
- Developing financial estimates for site preparation tasks.
- Evaluate contractor site preparation proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Produce ORM PRPs for site preparation and installation of FENS equipment.
- Collaborate with SSC / TSC / AT to implement risk mitigation measures for FENS.
- Coordinate and schedule site prep work with SSC / TSC / AT / FENS personnel.
- Supervise site preparation and installation tasks performed by contractors.
- Generate regular status updates and reports.
- Maintain and update Corporate Work Plan (CWP) data.
- Revise facility drawings for drafting purposes.
