Leidos Defense Systems Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test Team has an opening for a Jr Software Engineer to work in our Huntsville, AL office. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team of engineers to help DoD Uncrewed Systems support the warfighter.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Jr Software Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic engineering team that supports the design and creation of utilities, test tools and simulations that support the advancement of DoD Uncrewed Systems.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in software engineering preferably in a DevOps environment or Master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Pay Range
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

- Experience with writing unit tests (JUnit, Pytest, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing software in a Windows or Linux environments
- Experience implementing and documenting APIs
- Experience with containerization software like Docker or Podman
- Experience in command and control of uncrewed aircraft
- Experience writing end-to-end automated tests
