We are excited to announce our opening for a Manager, Material Planning on our Global Supply Chain team in the Reston, VA or Rockville, MD area! This opportunity calls for experience helping our organization's mission. The role of the Manager, Material Planning will include, but not limited to, managing a team who coordinates with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Engineering, Suppliers, Production, and Logistics. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition / disciplinary actions. In addition, the role includes developing material strategies, identifying and mitigating program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader in the Global Supply Chain with oversight of Material Planning (~10 direct reports)
- Job responsibilities associated with supplier management, business process re-engineering, and Procurement Tool deployments within National Security Sector area of responsibility
- Leader must have experience in Project planning, scheduling, coordination, with demonstrated history of developing technical solutions that meet program requirements
- Candidate must have strong understanding of developing BOMs, ROMs, and resource planning
- Experience with supplier coordination including hardware and software selection, maintenance issues, and problem resolution
- Leads teams of supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in cost / value engineering, affordability, and technical solutions
- Oversee tracking and reporting of all program material activities
- Achieve Program material budget objectives
- Lead Supply Chain and Program process improvement projects
- Develop demand forecasts and ensure lead times align with production schedules
- Resolve supply chain, procurement, cost target challenges for Leidos programs
- This individual should be a self-starter and someone that is flexible and is able to work independently at a higher level

Pay Range : Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
Salary : $80,600 - $145,700
