Dynetics group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Senior RF Engineer / Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Dynetics' San Antonio office evaluates vulnerabilities in DoD developed systems using primarily COTS equipment. The team will stay on the cutting edge of technology to assess a wide varied of systems and communication architectures, including but not limited to: unattended ground sensors (UGS), cellular networks, tactical communications, surveillance systems, unmanned systems (UxS), satellite communication, sand Radars. The group stresses each system to the breaking point while emulating an adversarial red team. The testing is conducted in both lab and test range environments and the team documents the findings for the customer. The end goal is to ensure that equipment utilized by the Warfighter is secure when fielded. Candidates will have a background with RF equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and vector signal analyzers.
Qualifications:
- Position will require a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar technical discipline) and 4 years of relevant work history. An MS degee in a relevant field may be used in lieu of 2 years
- of work history.
- Work history should be in one of the following technical areas:
- RF Engineering,
- Electronic Warfare (EW), SIGINT, DSP,
- Software-defined radios (SDR).
- Proficient technical writing.
- Approximately 20% travel is expected.
- Candidate needs to be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Candidate will be a resident of the San Antonio, TX area or willing to relocate to the San Antonio, Texas area.
Desired Skills:
- Prior work with or strong interest in DSP, SDR Platforms, GNU Radio, Sceptre, and MATLAB would be preferred.
- Background with Linux.
- A Top Secret Clearance is ideal.
Security Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
