System Administrator

Description

The Junior System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's computer systems and networks and providing technical support to end-users and ensuring that their issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner . The Junior System Administrator will work closely with the organization's IT and management teams to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's computer systems, resolve technical issues, and imple ment new technologies as needed. They will also be responsible for documenting and tracking all support requests to ensure proper follow-up and resolution.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain the organization's computer systems , workstations, and mobile devices.
  

• Monitor the organization's computer systems for technical issues and resolve these issues in a timely and effective manner.
  

• Implement and maintain security measures, such as antivirus software, and encryption, to protect the organization's computer systems and networks.
  

• Manage user accounts, including creating new accounts, resetting passwords, and revoking access as needed.
  

• Perform software and hardware upgrades, as needed, to ensure that the organization's computer systems remain up-to-date and secure.
  

• Develop and maintain documentation for the organization's computer systems, including user manuals and technical specifications.
  

• Work closely with the organization's IT team to ensure that the organization's computer systems are aligned with the organization's technology needs and are effective in supporting the organization's operations.
  

• Stay current with emerging technologies, including new operating systems, hardware, and software, and make recommendations for adopting new technologies as needed.
  

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person support.
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
  

• Document and track all support requests using a ticketing system.
  

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for end-users.
  

• Provide end-user training and support for hardware and software applications.
  

• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
  

Qualifications :

• Education : A bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and less than 2 years IT experience.
  

• Experience : Less than 2 years IT experience . Experience providing maintenance and operation of the computer system and network through installation of new hardware and software on servers and network wide .
  

• Technical Knowledge : Strong technical background, with a good understanding of computer systems, networks, and security technologies. Experience supporting mobile device systems , administration of shared resources , Horizon view , and b ackup software is desired .
  

• Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  

• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  

• Attention to Detail : Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to accurately perform routine tasks and maintain documentation.
  

• Time Management : Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  

• Certifications : Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , Cisco, VMWare, Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.

Pay Range: Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
