Job Overview
Currently, we are looking for one (1) Dental PC Technician and Help Desk Support on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Camp Lejeune, NC.
Location: Naval Dental Center, MCB Camp Lejeune, NC. 28542.
Work Hours/Days:
- 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., 30 minutes for lunch, Monday through Friday.
Dress Code: Business casual
Compensation: $22.00/hour
The position requires a federal criminal history background check and fingerprints.
Position Description: The purpose of the position is to provide technical and help desk services for the Management Information Technology Department. Also, to provide professional, administrative, and technical support required to achieve the desired degree of responsiveness to accomplish programmatic goals for assigned projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide tier-one technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and professionally.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems reported by end-users, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
Perform Active Directory user account administration and password resets.
Manage and resolve incident support tickets in ServiceNow.
Answer questions for users via phone, email, live chat, and instant message.
Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution.
Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and support activities clearly and concisely.
Provide end-user training and guidance on technology-related topics, ensuring users have the necessary knowledge to utilize technology resources effectively.
Receive visitors and telephone calls to the department, determine the nature of requests, and direct callers to appropriate staff or personally provide the information desired when routine or procedural matters of the department are involved.
Assist user with proper procedures in equipment relocations, allocation processes, scheduling training, and system access.
Tasks involve 80% work in an office environment and 20% outdoors.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- MUSTS HAVE a COMP TIA Security Certification or equivalent/higher level certification.
HIPAA training within 30 days of commencement of the position.
Must complete and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Personal Computer Technicians.
Experience providing technical support for software applications, mobile devices, hardware, and network systems.
