Job Title: Sanitation Driver (CDL)
Full-Time position - 40 hours per week
Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC) the property management company for Leisure World of Maryland a private, age-restricted community comprised of 29 housing associations and 8,000 residents located in Montgomery County, Maryland seeks a full-time Sanitation Driver (CDL) to assist in the collection of solid waste and recyclable materials ensuring that safety and quality customer service standards are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES:
- Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to assigned routes through the collection and hauling of solid waste.
- Performs pre-and- post-trip inspection of the vehicle, documenting and reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
- Operates vehicle in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA, DOT, local, state, federal, and company requirements.
- Courteously interacts with customers, both internal and external, ensuring customers are serviced in a professional and timely manner.
- Safely lifts and loads refuse/recycling completely emptying trash/recycling receptacles into the vehicle, leaving the area clean of debris, while monitoring waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
- Replaces solid waste receptacles nearly at the curb or designated area.
- Reports service issues, such as blocked alleyways, over-weight receptacles, safety hazards, or impassible streets to the supervisor.
- Immediately notifies supervisor of any accident, injuries, or property damage.
- Clears waste from packer blade and truck body on each trip to disposal site/recycling facility.
- Cleans trucks as scheduled/required.
- All other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
Current valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
DOT Medical Card.
EDUCATION
HS Diploma/GED-Required
YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Recycling Driver
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Ability to read and understand directions.
- Customer service-oriented
- Ability to manage time.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
