Groundskeeper

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall grounds keeping of the park and any other areas relating to the operation of our community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Operate a variety of power-driven equipment such as zero turn mowers, weed whackers, blowers, hedge trimmers and other equipment used in grounds work. Utilize standard gardening hand tools. Drive a vehicle to conduct work.
• Apply pest control methods to eradicate weeds and other pests according to established procedures.
• Maintain grounds maintenance equipment in safe operating condition; perform minor maintenance on equipment such as greasing and checking fluids and tire pressures.
• Clean, sanitize and stock multiple bathhouses and buildings weekly.
• A variety of groundskeeping tasks such as raking, trimming trees and bushes, weed trimming, painting, and cleaning.
• Perform general grounds cleanup, including picking up debris and emptying garbage cans throughout the campground, parking lots, playgrounds, athletic fields, and other assigned areas.
• Assist in other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Minimum of 18 years of age or older
• Previous landscaping experience is preferred, but not required
• Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.
• Must have a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail, not easily distracted, and commitment to safety.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license
• Subject to background check.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including water, sun, high humidity, excessive heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
