Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a passionate, highly skilled Safety Coordinator to facilitate and oversee the organization's safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulatory requirements and company policies & procedures to promote a safe working environment. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, and leading initiatives to reduce workplace hazards. The Safety Coordinator collaborates with various departments to foster a culture of safety across the organization.
This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $25.19-$38.14 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field and/or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with at least 5 years of experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading safety initiatives for high-risk industries, such as construction, manufacturing, or energy.
- Previous experience successfully implementing safety programs, training, and initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma and/or other continuous improvement methodologies, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental management systems.
- Familiarity with both construction safety, working in the mountains and manufacturing safety.
- Familiarity with FTA Federal Transit Administration Safety Programs.
