Title: Sales Associate
Job Purpose: Perform daily operations of sales floor and administrative needs
Job Description:
The Jewelry Sales associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service at Leitzel’s Jewelry. This includes meeting sales goals on a personal and store basis, demonstrating superior product knowledge to customers, building a clientele, and creating a shopping experience that will make the customer feel welcome and comfortable. All Jewelry Sales associates participate in all aspects of ensuring the store is operating efficiently including but not limited to processing goods, merchandising, taking price changes, setting and signing sales, and performing additional administrative tasks. A sales associate at Leitzel’s Jewelry must demonstrate sales knowledge, while balancing the administrative tasks.
Remember: The definition of salesmanship is your professional ability to create the desire to get your client to want the product. Ask questions, build the relationship, and earn trust. Be their jeweler. Close the sale.
Essential Sales and Administrative Skills
- Be proficient in use of Point of Sale system and Microsoft Office
- Assist customers in all aspects of service, and qualify customer needs, figure out what's right for them
- Suggest additional merchandise to compliment customer selection
- Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm that demonstrates commitment to our customer
- Stay informed on current promotional events and sales
- Ability to generate sales to exceed personal sales goals
- Ability to work as a team in a sales presentation to overcome customers objections and close additional sales
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
Personal Development
- Identify areas where additional training is needed
- Actively search for and participate in training to increase knowledge of merchandise
- Ensure continuous improvement to the selling skills and efficiencies
Merchandising and Marketing
- Use clientele program to maintain customer profile and contact information to increase personal sales and build solid customer base
- Merchandise the store to highlight and showcase new or featured collections
- Placement and display of merchandise, signage, and store collateral material, ensuring that it is displayed to standard and promotional plan
Selling Floor Operations
- Providing first response to difficult associate and/or customer interactions
- Account for and secure merchandise inventory according to company standards
- Ensure proper processing, presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock
- Perform functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
