Overview
The Human Resources Supervisor will coordinate the day-to-day HR activities, reviewing completed work for accuracy and providing senior level support to the HR team. The HR Supervisor maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits while protecting the interests of both employees and the company. This position is accountable for handling confidential information with a high degree of discretion and responds effectively to changing workloads and priorities.
Job Functions
- Supervises and performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; productivity, recognition, and morale
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Performs and coordinates new employee orientations
- Point of contact regarding Unemployment, Worker’s Compensation, and Disability and Life claims as needed
- Recommends changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention
- Assists in the research and implementation of HR initiatives and solutions to achieve department and company goals
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications and Education
- Associate’s degree in related field
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources
