Overview
The Help Desk Level I Technician is accountable for proper distribution and tracking of all Handheld Devices in the Distribution Center.
This position is responsible for weekly hands-on checks to ensure that all Handheld Devices have been returned properly.
Essential Functions
- Updates, repairs, and maintains technology inventory for the Distribution Center equipment
- Supports HighJump/Korber One end users
- Supports Network department
- Performs any repairs to the handhelds that do not require a qualified technician
- Operates and supports WMS software package; including basic WMS process, troubleshooting problem areas and interacting with developers
- Works with maintenance on mechanical and electrical issues
- Performs the check-in procedure when a user terminates employment or the handheld needs to be returned to IST for repair
- Maintains orderly housekeeping of assigned area
- Adheres to all company safety rules and regulations
- Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned
Non-essential functions
- Cover for other positions as needed
Required Qualifications and Education
- 2 years’ experience as Help Desk technician in warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
- Proficient with software and hardware procedures
- Previous experience using computer application software (Word processor, Spreadsheets, etc)
- Working knowledge of Networks
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well in a team
- Good MS Suites skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills
