Director of Human Resources
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Director of Human Resources to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment, demonstrating strong knowledge of human resources management practices tailored to the unique needs of healthcare organizations. You will play a crucial role in supporting the overall HR function and ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Lead the recruitment process by sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals (nurses, medical staff, administrative personnel, etc.).
- Manage onboarding processes and ensure new hires receive proper orientation.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Employee Relations & Retention:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively, maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention within the healthcare setting.
- Advise leadership on best practices related to employee relations, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Compliance & Policy Administration:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and labor laws specific to the healthcare sector.
- Maintain and update employee policies, handbooks, and other HR-related documents to ensure they are in alignment with healthcare regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to all HR compliance requirements.
- Performance Management & Development:
- Develop and implement performance management systems that are aligned with the goals and objectives of the healthcare facility.
- Oversee employee evaluations, coaching, and development programs to support continuous improvement.
- Identify training and development needs and recommend relevant programs to enhance staff performance and career growth.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive within the healthcare industry.
- Provide guidance on benefits enrollment, eligibility, and program changes.
- Conduct regular salary reviews and collaborate with management on budgetary decisions related to compensation.
- HR Metrics & Reporting:
- Track and analyze key HR metrics (turnover, retention rates, hiring success, etc.) to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and present HR reports to senior leadership on employee trends and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, employee relations, and compliance requirements.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
