Lead Sewer Installer / Sewer HYBRID / Sewer Plumber / Equipment Operator
Department: Sewer & Excavation - NJ REGION
NOTE: This Team will service the Region near JAMESBURG NJ Branch of LTPH&A
The Lead Sewer Installer is responsible for overseeing the sewer excavations and installations as the responsible licensed plumber on the job; responsible for the safe and proper completion of all job scopes; ensuring that the customer is given a quality service/product.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for every aspect of excavation to include correct installation, time management, and materials.
- Act as lead on jobsite giving direction to all members of crew.
- Coordinate work with Estimator prior to beginning of the job.
- Adhere to all safety policies and protocol.
- Keep accurate inventory of both truck stock and items used on job site.
- Confirm customer is completely satisfied and signature is obtained before leaving the work premises.
- Collect balance due for job from the customer.
- Complete Competent Person OSHA checklist and Daily Truck Walk Around forms on tablet daily.
- Communicate potential issues to both estimator and supervisor immediately.
- Operate vehicle in safe and courteous manner.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and transport up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to travel within a set geographical area to multiple locations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early/late shifts, extended hours, weekends and holidays when required.
Qualifications/Abilities:
- Ability to effectively lead and manage crew on the job.
- Effective communication skills with co-workers.
- Ability to solve complex on the job problems and offer alternatives for safe completion of work.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
Experience/Education:
- Journeyman/Master's plumbing license preferred.
- OSHA/Safety certifications, highly preferred.
- Knowledge of excavation methodologies, concepts, and tools required.
- Ability to operate backhoe
Job Type: Full-time - Monday - Friday Schedule
Salary: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
