What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Specialist- Crisis Residential Program position at LENAPE VALLEY FOUNDATION?
As an integral member of the Lodge multidisciplinary team, the Certified Peer Support Specialist uses their personal, practical experience, knowledge, and first-hand insight to benefit the team and its guests. The Peer Specialist serves to provide expertise about the recovery process, symptom management, and the persistence required by guests to have a satisfying life. They collaborate to promote a team culture that recognizes, understands, and respects each guest’s point of view, experiences, and preferences. It is essential the peer specialist have skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

What You’ll Offer:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pennsylvania Approved Peer Specialist Certification
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- Ability to work in person and remotely as needed
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to perform the physical requirement of the job description, with or without accommodation
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individual peer services to residents of The Lodge
- Document and file (in chart) assessments, individual recovery plans, progress notes, and service completion plans
- Maintain peer support certification through continuing education
