Position: Aquatics Manager
Classification: Full-Time Salary Exempt
Reports To: Centre Director

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.
Position Summary:
The Aquatics Manager will lead the aquatic team overseeing the daily aquatic operations and programming for an indoor and outdoor aquatic facility. The individual must live a life modeling Christian values and fully support the mission, vision, and values of The Christian Family Centre creating a team culture that encompasses these objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cast vision, plan, and execute aquatic programming
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of lifeguards and swim instructors
- Communicate schedules, events, and other relevant items to staff and patrons
- Maintain water chemistry and perform basic pool maintenance tasks
- Develop, implement, and manage quality aquatic programming
- Intentionally invest in Christ-centered spiritual development of staff, mentoring them in a God honoring manor
- Remain current with aquatic rules, regulations, and best practices
- Complete regular aquatic reports for local and state agencies maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and Centre aquatic guidelines
- Regularly instruct aquatic exercise classes, group swim lessons, private swim lessons, and swim club
- Implement staff policies and procedures
- Serve as the supervisor on duty as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Christian Faith:
- Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.
- Educational Background/Experience:
- Administrative skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to enforce policies and procedures without direct oversight
- Ability to lead and develop a team of various ages
- Ability to problem solve while keeping safety and customer service as a primary focus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand for extended periods both indoors and outdoors in an aquatic environment
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including morning, evening, and Saturday hours
- Desired certifications, will train the right candidate
o American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
o American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification
o American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
o Certified Pool Operator
